What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.
Joanna joined the Junior League of Brooklyn, NY in the fall of 2015 with the purpose of meeting like-minded women, building friendships, while also giving back to the community. Two years later, she moved West and transferred to the Junior League of Long Beach. In her time with the Junior League she has helped plan fundraisers, attended countless trainings, worked on public relations, social media, and website committees, and was the previous Treasurer in Brooklyn. She loves the structure of the organization and its focus not only on the community it serves but also the training of its members to become leaders and build skills that they may not have had the opportunity to build in other areas of their lives.
Joanna is a small-town Texas native from Wichita Falls. She has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from University of North Texas and a Master of Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from Strayer University. In her spare time, she loves spending time with friends, going to Disneyland, and cheering on the USC Trojans (Fight on!). Joanna lives in Downtown Long Beach with her pup, Dory, and her partner, Lani.
