Community Impact The Junior League of Long Beach works with school principals, teachers and community partners to create unique programs to help kids succeed. 
The JLLB is leading the following programs in the Long Beach areas: - Especially Me: Self-esteem workshops for fifth-grade girls
- Family Literacy Night: At select LBUSD elementary schools
- Kids in the Kitchen: Healthy Eating and Exercise Fair
- Holiday Food Baskets
- Bethune Transitional Center Holiday Party

Junior Leagues’ Kids in the Kitchen is a nation-wide initiative of The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) designed to help communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition. Junior Leagues are committed to improving the health of today’s youth by empowering them to make choices that lead to healthy lifestyles.
