Trinka Rowsell, President
Born in Sasebo, Japan, and a self-described “Navy brat,” Trinka lived all her school years in Colville, Washington.A Long Beach resident since 1996 she has been a member of JLLB for 6 years, starting her League career on the Marketing Committee where she enjoyed learning how to update our website. Her year as Membership and Training Vice President was especially fulfilling as it enabled her to reward and recognize many JLLB members for their contributions to the League. In addition, she has served as Adopt-a-School Chair, Training Vice Chair, and on the Board as Finance & Marketing Vice President. Her most recent year serving as President-Elect was very rewarding as she was part of the JLLB website redevelopment team. She truly enjoyed writing all the content for the new site, as well as collaborating on the design.
Trinka’s experiences working at both Kids in the Kitchen and Especially Me! are particularly rewarding. She believes the overwhelming fulfillment she receives from her membership in JLLB stems from the sense of community that exists among the membership -- especially when we are impacting children through one of our League programs.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and has 17 years experience in sales, marketing, human resources, project and operations management. Trinka enjoys writing, paper crafts, reading, bike rides and socializing with friends and her family -- husband, Lynton, and four-year-old son, Teagan.
