Tara Escobar, Nominating Chair
A Long Beach native, Tara joined the JLLB in 2007. As Arrangements Chair, she enjoyed the challenge of planning new activities to bring members together. Tara especially relishes working on Kids in the Kitchen, watching what can be done to help others through JLLB teamwork! She values her Board experience this past year, where she learned so much more about the League as well new ways to appreciate JLLB.
A graduate of Long Beach schools and CSU-Chico, Tara has a Masters Degree and is a Nationally Board Certified teacher. She has been teaching in the Long Beach Unified School District for the past 18 years.
Married to George for 12 years, they are often at UCLA Basketball and Galaxy Soccer games. When she isn’t spending time with family and friends, Tara can be found in the garden. Smokey and Lulu, Tara and George’s dogs, provide them with endless hours of entertainment.
