Summer Ugale, Community Vice President
Originally from Yucaipa, California, Summer has lived in Long Beach for the past 13 years.
She joined JLLB in 2008, and values being a part of JLLB events and programs that have made a positive impact in the community. Her favorite placements include serving as Chair of Kids in the Kitchen and as an Especially Me! Instructor.
Professionally, Summer has a B.A. from University of Redlands and M.A. in English from Cal State Dominguez Hills and currently teaches English part-time.
She enjoys spending time with her family, including David, her husband of 5 years, and Jacqueline, their 2 year-old daughter, as well as visiting extended family who live nearby.
