Summer of Service

Junior League of Long Beach kicked off its first-annual Summer of Service (SOS) program on June 1, 2011! SOS was created as an opportunity for members to stay active and volunteer over the summer, a time when not as many League-driven community impact activities are available. The purpose of SOS is for JLLB members to carry out the JLLB mission of promoting voluntarism and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers!

All you have to do to participate this summer is gather with two or more friends and find opportunities to serve the greater Long Beach community. Make sure to show your JLLB pride and wear JL colors while you serve! Members are eligible to receive up to six service hours for their time spent on SOS activities.
