Kristine Hammond, Fund Development Vice PresidentA Laguna Beach native, Kristine has been in Long Beach since 1996 and a Junior League member since 2006. As the State Public Affairs (SPAC) Senior Delegate for 2 years and the Junior Delegate for 1 year, Kristine has been deeply involved in advocating for the League on the federal, state, and local level. In addition, she was the author of the weekly News Blast as a member of the Marketing and Communications Committee, and served as Chair of Grants and Partnerships. During the 2011-12 fiscal year, Kristine served as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors. Interacting with intelligent women who impact and advocate for their communities is what she enjoys most about being a member.
With an MBA from Pepperdine, a Certificate in Legal Assistantship from UCI and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from San Diego State University, Kris was also an office manager and paralegal for Baker and Hostetler, LLP. More recently, Kris has tapped into her entrepreneurial side: she conducted in-home wine tastings for WineShop at Home and ran Surf’s Up! Events, a business that provides simulated surfing for corporate and private parties. She also serves on the School Site Council at her children’s school and on the Measure K Oversight Committee for LBUSD.
Kris enjoys spending her free time playing tennis, as well as camping, hiking and any activity that involves the beach. She enjoys all of these hobbies with her family – husband of 15 years, and her daughter and son.
