Christie Bettendorf, Membership Vice President
Christie’s JLLB experience began in 2008. As a member of Adopt-a-School, Christie was a part of the Especially Me! program from its inception. She knew from the first classes she taught that the curriculum would have a deep and meaningful impact on young girls’ lives. Her most-recent placement on the Nominating Committee gave her perspective on the League and what each committee’s role is in accomplishing JLLB’s objectives.
A native of La Palma, Christie has lived in Long Beach for 10 years. A high school English teacher, Christie has a Bachelor and Masters in English. She and her husband, Ramzi, have been married for 12 years and enjoy raising a boxer puppy named Zuul. Christie is very proud of her garden that produces seasonable fruits, vegetables and herbs, as well her love of reading – she is a member of two book clubs!
