Amy Weurdig, Executive Secretary
Originally born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and also a self-described “Navy brat” like our current JLLB President, Amy moved around a lot growing up. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 2004 and settled in Long Beach in 2009.
She joined JLLB in 2010 and has particularly enjoyed the Especially Me! program and helping young girls build self esteem as well as being the project manager of her New Member class project.
Professionally, Amy is a project manager with nearly 20 years experience in trade show and event management. Over the years, she has developed numerous processes and procedures for companies and has been ISO, QA and Supply Chain Management trained.
She enjoys gardening (especially dahlias), cooking and sewing, and would love to someday travel the world and experience other cultures. A few little-known facts about Amy are that she has downhill-raced mountain bikes for NORBA, driven a team of Percheron horses, done high-angle Search and Rescue, and completed a Team in Training Century Ride for Leukemia research.
Amy is happily married and has two miniature dachshunds, Dot and Dazzi.
